Year 9 say ‘No’ to Anti-Semitism

By
On Tuesday 6th December, Saint Aidan’s welcomed Freddy Naftel who came to school to deliver workshops based on antisemitism and the Holocaust.
Freddy spoke passionately about the topic of anti-Jewish discrimination as his family had been directly affected by the Holocaust, losing family members in Auschwitz. Freddy helped our Year 9 students see that antisemitism isn’t a thing of the past through showing us recent examples of anti-Jewish abuse and discrimination. These examples got us thinking about why these events still happen, why people still hold these beliefs and what we can do to stop them.
Thank you, Freddy, for such an insightful and powerful presentation.
