Celebrating Year 8’s Active Christian Ethics (ACE) Award Achievements
A huge congratulations to our Year 8 students for successfully completing the Active Christian Ethics (ACE) Award! This year, our students truly embraced the spirit of the award, which challenges them to explore inspirational people and then find ways to make a tangible difference in the world. This is a core part of our school’s mission, as we believe that a good education is one that inspires students to use their knowledge and skills to serve others, reflecting the values taught by Jesus Christ.
Over the summer holidays, each student took on the task of designing and executing a fundraising activity for a charity of their choice. The creativity and dedication on display were incredible. From bake sales and sponsored walks to car washes and lemonade stands, our students poured their hearts into supporting causes they care about deeply. In doing so, they demonstrated key Christian values such as compassion for those in need, generosity in giving their time and resources, and service to their community.
We are so proud to announce that, together, they raised a grand total of £11,104.70! This phenomenal amount is a testament to the students’ hard work, compassion, and commitment to making the world a better place. The funds will now go to a wide variety of charities, each chosen by the students themselves.
The ACE award is more than just a fundraising challenge; it’s an opportunity for our students to develop empathy, leadership, and a deeper understanding of how their actions can create positive change. We celebrate not only the money raised but also the growth and character each student demonstrated throughout the process.
Well done, Year 8! Your achievements are an inspiration to us all.
