Using only a roll of Sellotape and some cardboard, our families were challenged to build a fully functional chair. We would like to extend a huge thank you to the PTFA, Mr Ireland, Miss Wood, and Mrs Jessop for supporting this brilliant event.
As this was my first event, I was particularly impressed by the design and engineering skills that parents and children used with very limited resources!
A special thank you goes to our Year 7 pupils and their parents for participating in the nail-biting finale. Everyone watched eagerly as weights were added to see which chair would collapse first. Competition was so strong that Mr Ireland put himself on the line to carefully test the strength of the surviving chairs. Because there were still survivors, the final decision was awarded based on the lightest chair design.
The PTFA provided fantastic refreshments, making it a brilliant opportunity for families to connect while children enjoyed some friendly competition. We look forward to welcoming even more families to support the PTFA at future events.
