On Tuesday, 28th February, our Under 15 netballers triumphed in the Northern Shield of the Sisters n Sport competition to qualify for the national final. One of the victorious team, Katie Bottomley, takes up the story:
“We made it through to the National Finals! After five rounds and a total of 244 goals (the highest scorers in the shield) we fought our way to the Sisters n Sport final. We became Northern Champions after defeating Ratcliffe College 42-36 in the final. Amazing teamwork throughout this whole experience and a big thankyou to Mrs Jenkinson for coaching us. We cannot wait to play the final in June.”
Along the way, the girls also beat Stonyhurst, Rainhill HS, Cheadle Hulme HS and Egglescliffe School. Massive congratulations to the whole squad which consisted of Katie Bottomley, Molly Huck, Scarlett Connell, Ruby Kelly, Mia Rowen, Aimee Davies, Immy Pinder, Millie Turner, Layla Ronson and Caitlyn Halliwell.
