From South-East Asia… with Love!

By

On Wednesday, 8th July, we were delighted to welcome our friends from South-East Asia, Lex and Alan, along with their boys Joshua, Caleb and Micah.  Lex and Alan have been linked with us for almost a decade and have worked with some of the most vulnerable in society, in schools, prisons and other organisations.  As committed Christians, Lex and Alan felt called to work in other parts of the word.  Over the years we have been able to support them with our Smarties Challenge and Non-Uniform Days.  Whenever they are back in the UK to visit family, Lex and Alan always pop in.

The family were able to visit an RE and a Geography class on their recent visit, as well as take part in our Prayer Walk and meet the Worship Champions.  Deputy Headteacher, Anthony Lord, said “It is always a joy to meet up with Lex, Alan and the boys.  They have appeared via Teams on the big screen in worship, live from South-East Asia, but having them here sharing their experiences and faith in the flesh is amazing.  We are all in awe of their commitment and positivity.”

Lex and Alan are embarking on brand new posts on their return to Asia.  As Lex says, “God is amazing, when he closes a door he truly opens another.  As we look ahead to this new adventure, we can clearly see God’s hand in bringing us this far, and we know your prayers have truly sustained us.”
