The Leavers’ Prom for 2026 was held at Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road Stadium on Thursday, 25th June. Over 160 students and staff celebrated the end of the GCSEs (and their five years at Saint Aidan’s) on the hottest day of the year! Families and friends turned up en masse to see students arrive in limousines, sports cars and even a tractor! We were treated to a super banquet, great music from the DJ, an amazing photobooth and the much-anticipated awards presentation. A magical way to say goodbye for now to a magical year group.
Head of Year, Miss Wood, said, “This year’s prom was a night for glitz and glamour. I was delighted to watch our Year 11’s feel like royalty for an evening as they rolled up to Blackpool Football Club in everything from Porsches and Rolls-Royces to tractors and motorbikes. The dresses sparkled and the suits were chic. But, what really shone through, were the friendships forged over the students’ five years of high school. It was lovely to be part of the laughter, dancing and reminiscing which went on well into the night. I am sure that our students will continue to make us proud as they grow into fantastic members of the community.”
