An ACE achievement by Oliver!

By
As part of our Year 7 R.E ACE Award, students are asked to choose a good cause and offer their time, support or do some fundraising.  Students spend time in class in the summer term planning their efforts for the charity of their choice.  They then put these into practice over the summer holidays. We’ve had bake sales, car washes, sponsored walks/cycles/swims, car boots and more. Oliver W has raised a cracking £1355 for Alzheimer’s Research!
Oliver organised a Quiz Night at his local church, where he was quiz master and the evening also included a raffle prize draw. He picked Alzheimer’s Research as the charity is an important cause for his family.
Miss Smith said “It has been incredible to come back to school and hear our Year 8’s share their fundraising successes from the summer. I am particularly proud of Oliver for organising such an event on his own and for raising such an amazing amount of money for a great cause. “
