A Blooming Lovely Award

Everyone at Saint Aidan’s knows how lucky we are to be in such a beautiful location, but we are sometimes in danger of taking our lovely grounds and well kept buildings for granted.  We won’t do that now because Saint Aidan’s has won the Best Kept School (secondary school) category in this year’s Lancashire Best Kept Village competition!  We have won this competition thanks to the hard work of our site team, led by Mr Mansfield and Mr Hill, and also the way our students respect and look after our school.
Mr Smith collected our certificate on behalf of the school from Sir Peter Openshaw at the Best Kept Village awards at Eaves Hall Hotel yesterday.  He says, “It’s great to have our school recognised across the county in this way.  Everyone works better and feels better in a really nice environment, so let’s all work hard together to keep it that way.”
