School Chaplain

The Governors are seeking to appoint a new School Chaplain to play a key role in shaping the spiritual journey of students and staff at our school.

For the right candidate, the opportunity to shape, lead and deliver our collective worship program, to develop community links with our local parishes and to support the spiritual and emotional development of our students, through a Christian lens, is what is on offer. We serve the community of Over-Wyre and beyond and we are inclusive to those of all faiths and none. Everyone is welcome here at Saint Aidan’s.

Please see the attached information pack below for further details of this post.

To apply, complete and return the attached application form with covering letter, by 12 noon on Wednesday 24th September 2025. Applications should be emailed to recruitment@st-aidans.lancs.sch.uk

Teacher of Geography (Maternity Cover)

The Governors are looking for a committed and inspirational full-time teacher to join our Geography Department and Humanities Faculty. The successful candidate will join a highly capable and experienced team. Applications from newly qualified teachers and experienced teachers are equally welcome.

The post is temporary, to cover a maternity leave.

Application forms are downloadable from the links below.

Completed applications should be returned by 12 noon, Wednesday 1st October 2025 to Saint Aidan’s for the attention of Mrs K Benter, Headteacher or emailed to recruitment@st-aidans.lancs.sch.uk

Received email applications will be acknowledged.

Employment is subject to Enhanced DBS Clearance.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Senior ICT Technician

We are looking for a Senior ICT Technician to work with the Network Manager to manage and support ICT provision across the school. The candidate will have technical skills to run our network and support ICT provision along with the right personal skills to work closely with staff and students. As you will see from the enclosed information, our ICT provision includes support for teacher and student tablets and laptops as well as 4 ICT suites across the school site. We also provide support to one of our neighbouring primary schools.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of this provision. The primary responsibility of the Senior ICT Technician will be to maintain and develop reliable ICT systems across the school and support staff and students in their use of ICT, but we are also looking for someone who will enjoy playing a full part in the life of the school. Excellent ICT provision for students and staff has been a high priority for the school for many years.

The post is full time including school holidays, but term time only or term time + fixed number of weeks would be considered for the right candidate.

Please see the attached information pack for further details of this post.

To apply, complete and return the attached application form with covering letter, by 12 noon on Wednesday 24th September 2025.
