Parent Portal

INSIGHT is an internet based portal which allows parents and carers secure access to select items of information stored in school including:

  • Personal details
  • Live attendance information on a lesson by lesson basis
  • The most recent school progress reports
  • Rewards and Sanctions
  • Absence reporting
  • Examination entries and timetables

Access is via an internet connection – either PC based or there is an “app” for iPhone/iPad and Android phone/tablet users. When your child joins Saint Aidan's a username and password will be issued during the first few weeks of the new term to the registered email address of the parent/carer who is the primary contact for a child in school. If there is an older brother or sister in school, then the new student’s details will be added to the existing account, providing the contact details are the same.

We also offer occasional hands-on support sessions during the year, usually on parents’ evenings. There is a link to Insight from our website Home Page - in the top right hand corner under "Quick Links". Once your account is active, it is not managed by school staff but from within the Insight application; if you have forgotten your password or your username, there is a "forgotten password" link on the sign in webapge which you can use to request your sign in details (username and password) to be emailed to you.

If downloading the Insight "app" to use on a mobile device, you will need to configure it to link to the Saint Aidan's Insight Portal - the web address required can be collected by scanning the QR key at the bottom right hand corner of our Parent Portal sign in page from your mobile device, or by manually typing in:  The app will also require you to enter your username and password.

Students are granted their own (read only) access to their data on the school portal - they should not be given access to parent accounts on the portal as these accounts have more privileges.
