Looking for a school place for your child? Ring 01253 810504 to arrange to see us in action during the school day.

At Saint Aidan’s, we firmly believe that learning should not be just confined to the classroom. All our students should have the chance to experience a whole range of opportunities that add breadth to, and complement, their learning.

Over seventy activities take place each week in school at lunchtime and after school to extend and broaden our students’ experience. Activities include learning a new language, Young Chefs, building an electric car, producing a radio programme for broadcast on the internet, playing in our brass band, a wide range of sporting activities, Duke of Edinburgh Award and many more.

In addition to activities in school, a great many diverse and challenging educational visits are also organised throughout the year for all our students. These include Geography field trips, theatre trips and University visits to name just a few.

Each year a range of residential trips are planned to enhance students' cultural experience. Over the next few years students will experience Barcelona, Paris, New York and Italy and will be hosting visiting students from our partner school, Groote Schuur High School, in Cape Town, South Africa.

Across the school faculties are always looking for ways to enrich and develop the learning that begins in the classroom. Our Robotics team have had amazing success recently in competitions as have our German Spelling Bee participants and this is just a flavour of the exciting opportunities students have across the school on a regular basis.
