Saint Aidan’s is an online school at the moment. Teachers and students are working together to keep learning going at this difficult time.
If you have any urgent queries please use the Contact Form on the “Contact us” section of the website. You can also contact us by phone from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.
We are looking forward to seeing our wonderful students in person again soon.

Saint Aidan’s is a popular, high achieving secondary school for 11-16 year old students. The last few years have seen the school growing from strength to strength, with record breaking GCSE results, an excellent Ofsted report in 2018 and SIAMS (Church School) report in 2017 and an ever-increasing range of opportunities available to our students. Our school is a friendly community where staff and students of all ages work together in an atmosphere of mutual respect based on Christian values.

If you are considering whether Saint Aidan’s is the right school for your child please contact us for more information or, even better, arrange a visit to see the school in action. We hold an annual Open Evening in September, but it is often even more useful to arrange to come into school on a normal working day. We welcome visits by arrangement at any time of year; we are all proud of our school and want to show it off to as many people as possible!

Our Students

Our young people make our school. They support one another across the age range, they work hard, they treat one another with respect and they make the very best of the opportunities they are given. Ofsted were so impressed when they came to the school in October 2013 that they gave the school the rare “Outstanding” judgement for Behaviour and Safety. Their previous judgements were confirmed in our recent short inspection in 2018.

GCSE Results

Our GCSE results in recent years have made us one of the most improved and one of the highest performing secondary schools on the Fylde peninsula.  In 2018 our students made the most progress (as measured by the government’s Progress 8 figure) of any school in Wyre and Blackpool and our recent 2019 figures show that over 80% of students have achieved at least 4 both in GCSE English and in GCSE Maths.

Ofsted say that Saint Aidan's is a good school where the behaviour of pupils is outstanding.

Beyond the Classroom

Our students are given the high quality teaching and support they need to excel academically. They also need to learn to work together, to develop new skills and to contribute to the world around them. There is a huge range of extra-curricular activities for students to get involved in, ranging from sporting and musical groups through to opportunities to learn about Astronomy, Photography and even Mandarin Chinese. We have active partnerships with schools in Germany and South Africa with lots of local and overseas visits. Our students raise thousands of pounds each year for charity and learn that we all depend on one another as part of a global community. Saint Aidan’s has something to offer all our students, whatever their individual interests and aptitudes.

I would encourage you to come to visit the school, either at one of our annual Open Evenings or, by arrangement, during the school day.

I believe that the Saint Aidan’s difference is tangible – why not come and discover it for yourself?
