Pupil Premium

What is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is additional funding on top of the main funding school receives targeted at students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds. Research shows that these students underachieve compared to their peers. The Pupil Premium is provided to support these students in reaching their potential by accelerating their progress and ensuring they benefit from the same opportunities as students from less deprived families.

At Saint Aidan’s, we are committed to raising the performance of all our students and the interventions used to raise aspirations for Pupil Premium students are integrated through a multi-faceted approach.
